My Baby is Walking

When you have your first child you hope they reach every milestone / benchmark of development on time or maybe even a little early, at least I did. Maybe we do this because it gives us another reason to think our child is brilliant or to brag about them, I really don't know. What I do know is that by the time you have your third child you stop caring so much. In fact, there are a few milestones you wouldn't even mind your child being late to achieve. So when Weston started crawling at 7 months and then one week later was pulling up on things and walking along them I was not overly excited. I knew all too well that my life would not be the same (as every mother of a child with newly acquired mobility can attest to). I miss those days of being able to lay him down somewhere and he stay put, of sitting down at the computer to have him play alongside instead of crawling all over it and dismantling the printer or turning it off, and of not having to have a gate at the top of my stairs. My Weston is just too busy. Well, last week he added one more accomplishment to his list. My 10 month old is officially walking unaided by walls, furniture, or cabinets. And all I can say is a little part of me wishes he wasn't because it means my little baby is not so little anymore : (

Oh man you are a busy woman. He is adorable though! He looks exactly like Will to me. Good luck keeping those kiddos under control. I sure hope my baby doesn't start walking in a month! YIKES!!

So cute! Why do they grow so fast?! Weston is definitely looking like a little kid, and like he's enjoying his new found mobility a little too much. I'm sort of glad Taylor hasn't quite started crawling yet, as my apartment is currently a baby death trap. Guess I better get on with the baby proofing.
