First Day of Kindergarten

Summer is officially over (except it is still in the upper 90s), and the day I have been anticipating and dreading all at the same time has arrived: my firstborn's first day of kindergarten. I didn't cry when I dropped William off because frankly I am excited about one less kid to entertain all day and being able to grocery shop with two children instead of three, but it did pull at my heart when he immediately found his desk, began coloring his assignment, and wouldn't even look at me when I said goodbye five times. The only thing that makes me sad is that my baby will never again be just mine all day long for the rest of his life : ( But, William was completely ready to begin this new phase in his life and loved his first day of school! And I must say I love how Texas has full day kindergarten; you can get a lot done in 6 hours! So hopefully the year goes well (I have heard some rumors that his teacher is not very patient) and I will be able to volunteer at the school frequently to keep an eye on my guy.

Oh, he looks so grown up! I can't believe our little ones are already in school. Isn't it so weird?!! But at the same time, so exciting for them.

Hey, look who I found! I decided to finally blog, it's been like 6 months. I think I will be more like you, I don't know if I will cry when Eric starts school. It is sad to think though, they will never be all yours again.
