Our Easter Weekend

Dan had Good Friday off of work, so we decided to travel the 3 1/2 hours down to Houston where my parents live so the kids could spend Easter weekend with their Grandma Freeman and Papagator. All of us had so much fun! In fact, the entire ride home on Sunday afternoon they cried and insisted that we turn around and go back.
Some of the highlights of the weekend were:

1) Dying Easter eggs (something I did every Easter as a kid but my children have not).

2) Watching the kids participate in two Easter Egg Hunts (one put on by my parent's HOA and the other in their backyard). They were so cute! Will and Cici definantly have different egg hunting styles; Will runs around searching for all the green (his favorite color) eggs he can find while Cicialy inspects each egg individually as she collects it and cleans off all the dirt and grass. Will was being the best big brother and would help Cici find all the pink eggs! (Side Note: Please remember that I am 7 1/2 months pregnant in all these pictures).

3) Relaxing and enjoying the 80 degree weather. It was absolutely beautiful the entire weekend (sunny with a slight cool breeze), so we spent a lot of time outside.

4) Waking up to buckets filled by the Easter Bunny! Will and Cici loved the buckets their grandparents got them that we stuffed with movies (Enchanted for Cici and The Bee Movie for Will), books, crayons, coloring books, candy, Diego and Little Mermaid underwear (yes, my children love underwear since it is the only character clothing that I allow them to wear), and their special egg with money inside.

5) Getting dressed up in our new Easter outfits and going to church to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (the real reason we celebrate Easter and why we did all the other activties on Saturday).

That's so fun that you could spend Easter w/your family. Your little, and yes I mean little, prego belly is so cute. You and your perfect body... it's just not fair! The family picture is really cute, too.

Love the blog Cathy. I haven't seen you or heard from you for so long. You can blame Alisa for telling me you had a blog. I will say I love how you write. It is very cute. I miss you. You crack me up, and you look so good 7 1/2 months pregnant. I am also having another baby boy and I'm about a month behind you. We are also moving to Oregon. Everything you wrote about your move is just about my life right now. I'm still in Utah living with my parents for a month and Johnny has been gone for three weeks now. We did sell our house, and I leave in about a week. I'm very nervous but as you pointed out previously you grow a ton and I look forward to that. Keep in touch it was good to hear about you guys and see pictures. Oh by the way your kids are a adorable. You look like the picture perfect family.

Krystal and I were talking the other day and we were wondering what your new house looks like there in Texas. Could you post a picture so we can see it?
